When did you first realize you wanted to work in the
industry for a living?

From the age of thirteen I started working in the studio recording demos with Elton John. Worked in the American Air Bases at the age of fifteen.

How did you discover dance music?

I was the first female artist to sing dance music in the early 70's and was described as the Queen of Disco.

Describe your first professional break.

5000 volts "I'm on Fire" reached # 1 in Europe.

What should recording artists start doing now if they want to get a mix show on the radio in major markets?

The person must believe in there talent and promote their particular style and exploit their individual uniqueness and when the talent is recognized to join forces with an organization, which can promote the talent of that individual.

Should artists consider doing production work to
further their careers?

Indeed if the person has the talent, skills and capability.

If so, where should they start?

On the premise they have the talent and have a niche market, by doing the circuits of Clubs and other venues, taking part in talent competitions to gain experience and confidence to perform to their audience.

Are there other music business areas important to you such as publishing that artists can consider?

This area is highly rewarding, again if one has the talent, what an excellent way to gain recognition when others sing your songs.

You do a lot of traveling. How should new and current charting artists handle the stress of travel in today's world of delays and demanding schedules?

The simple answer is to do every thing in moderation, take care of your physical and mental well being; surround yourself with like-minded people who will provide support and encouragement when things do not go to plan. Ensure your values, beliefs and attitude remain focused on your personal dreams and with small steps you can achieve your goals. Expect the unexpected, modify your behavior in positive ways, this is common sense but at difficult times can be onerous.

Tell us what your next projects are and who you will be working wit

Working with Sanny X and Aris of Wizard Records " A New Beginning" the title of my new album.

What keeps you motivated to continue to grow your career?

Self-belief and the continued support from family members and close friends that have known me over the last 35 years.

How does networking continue to move your career forward?

The fans buy your music and are an integral part of the evolution of your career. Networking is vital for any project to be a success and when the formula works then, identify the factors that have the potential to make it rock!

What advice can you offer music professionals looking to gain success in this business?

Groundwork, work hard, stay focused, sustainability and above all treat disappointment the same as success and learn from your mistakes.

What is your favorite quote or words of wisdom?

Humor, love and self-belief are the ingredients to success. Be yourself the World is the stage and each must play a part.

How often should recording artists be practicing their craft?

Every body has different values and beliefs "If it works for you,
then go for it!"
